3D Printing, Scanning, and Prototyping

Additive and Scanning Support for Development and Production Workflows.

3D Printing, Scanning, and Prototyping
Overview

Additive manufacturing and scanning support prototype development, fit checks, manufacturing aids, replacement-part development, dimensional capture, and reverse-engineering workflows for suitable applications.

3D printing at Shannon Precision is used to support tooling and machine projects — producing prototype components, fit-check models, manufacturing aids, jigs, and fixtures that support the development and production process. Industrial resin and filament printing resources are available for appropriate applications.

3D scanning supports dimensional capture of existing parts, tooling, or equipment for reverse engineering, inspection, or documentation. Scan data can be used to develop replacement parts, update drawings, or support fixture and tooling design.
